Oh, eh heh, I wrote this after the first time I went surfing:
Like the fisherman, who follows the catch... Southerlies bring the cod. Western swell good for crab. High tide bank on the outgoing tide. Boiler's end will usually hold the better wave hollow shorey, breakin' Board breaking barrels Closeouts. |

Hi Andrea
Great poem! It reminds me of the 'red sky at morning' lore. It has a very fishy, sea-salt...ultimately painful feel about it. I cringed :) What inspired you to write it? Where is 'Boiler's End'? You should insert the Google map location so we can organise a meetup one day...aha. How come you know so much (way, way more than me) about fish, swell, etc? Thanks for sharing! Mark |
